What’s Been Happening at RRD?
Well, fall was like winter, and winter has been like fall so far. Welcome to Wisconsin, if you don’t like the weather just wait a day and it will change!
With the change of the seasons, we had some changes in staffing as well. Sadly we bid farewell to Kali. Kali started school this fall pursuing a new career in marketing. We will surely miss her smile around here but wish her all the best.
We were excited to welcome Jamie! Jamie recently joined our team as a Dental Assistant. Jamie lives in Columbus with her husband and two daughters and has over 9 years of experience in the dental field. When asked, Jamie said that what she loves most about the dental field is helping others, getting to talk with all the patients and learning more about them. Welcome, Jamie!
We love getting out into our community and we were able to do that a lot this fall!
We had a booth at the Fort Atkinson Farmers Market and handed out toothbrushes, “healthy’ suckers, and had fun with the kiddos playing “Pin the tooth on the Pirate.”
We also had a booth at the 2nd annual Trunk or Treat! This event was supposed to happen on Halloween night, however, we had a snow storm! We set up shop the following Saturday night and it was COLD!! However, the ghosts and goblins came out in high numbers! It was a lot of fun and we handed out over 300 Halloween toothbrushes!
This marks Rock River Dental’s first year participating in the Fort Atkinson Holiday Parade and we had so much fun we can’t wait until next year! Hopefully, you were one of the lucky ones that got one of over 800 Christmas toothbrushes and can koozies we handed out! Such a great community we live in!
Celebrate!!
We celebrated Boss’s Day, “Wear Pink” Day, Amy’s, Lu’s, Brooke’s, Courtney’s, Dr. Showalter’s and Jamie’s Birthdays. We also celebrated Alivia’s one-year anniversary and Ugly Sweater Day!
Giving Back!
We are blessed with so many great patients and a wonderful community, we like to give back whenever we can. This year we were able to ship over 100 pounds of candy to our troops through Operation Gratitude from our annual Candy Buy Back Night. (Kathy was REALLY excited!)
We were also able to give some new smiles to some very deserving vets through our Give Vets A Smile Day we held on Veteran’s Day.
