Dear Valued Patients:

I hope this finds you and your family in good health. I want to take this time to touch base with you on our continued efforts to serve our patients in the safest way possible. We have been and will continue to follow all of the current American Dental Association (ADA), Center For Disease Control (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.

As a recap:

  1. Our staff continues to wear the required PPE and follow all CDC, ADA, and OSHA guidelines. (Isolation Gowns, Gloves, Face Shields, Eye Protection)
  2. Staff is screened daily for any signs of illness. Any employee found to have a fever or who reports symptoms of COVID-19 or any other risk factors during screening will be sent home immediately and asked to go to their physician to test for COVID-19. They will not report for duty until it is safe to do so.
  3. We have added Air Purifiers in all patient rooms as well as in our lobby. This system purifies the air every 15-30 minutes using a medical-grade HEPA filter.

  1. Immediately before any procedure, we will give you 10ml of a 1.5% hydrogen peroxide rinse.

I would also like to share some information about maintaining your dental care during the Covid-19 crisis. There has been a lot of research on the effects of poor oral health and the severity of Covid-19. A healthy oral cavity keeps the body healthy and helps in preventing many diseases, including fighting COVID-19.

I have included two links to articles describing the correlation between gum disease and the severity of Covid-19.

There is never time to neglect your dental health, especially not now. Brushing two times a day, flossing, and having a healthy diet is critical. It is also imperative that you keep up with your hygiene appointments and have any pending treatment needs completed.

You can feel safe and confident in our office, and we are here for you. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. We have staff available to answer your questions at 920-563-4415 or email at rockriverdental@gmail.com.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to seeing you soon.

Warmest Regards,

Dr. Showalter, Dr. Trimbell, and your Rock River Dental Team
